Pasjača Beach in Dubrovnik, a must do in Croatia

Pasjača Beach in Dubrovnik

The Pasjača Beach in Dubrovnik, a must do in Croatia is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful beaches of the country and a place that you need to visit!

In fact, this is not only one of the most beautiful beaches of Croatia but of all the Adriatic and what makes it special is the fact that it is virtually unique.

The beach Pasjača is one of the best-kept secrets in relation to the beaches of the region and so it is not too crowded like others in Croatia.

Of course to enjoy this paradise will have to make some effort because getting there is not easy. But, we ensure that this beach is are worth all the effort!

Check the post about Nugal Beach, such an amazing beach in Makarska Riviera.

The Pasjača Beach is not a natural beach and was formed during World War II when some tunnels were dug in the nearby villages and stones set aside for this purpose have accumulated on this site.

Over the years, the sea eroded the rocks and created this beautiful beach that is hidden in the giant Konavle cliffs.

The beach is accessible only through a combined track by steep stairs that cut through the cliffs and take you to heaven …

For this reason, access is very difficult for elderly, disabled and families with small children.

Despite the warning above, we saw many families with children on the beach so if your children have experience in this kind of adventure do not hesitate to take them to this beach and we guarantee that they will enjoy a lot.

It is truly a paradise, but we must warn you that the beach is disappearing gradually because the sea is eroding the sandstones.

For this reason, if you do not visit soon, you will probably never have the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful retreat, unless someone starts to dig other tunnels soon.

Now you have more than one reason to advance your trip to Croatia and enjoy this wonderful beach.

The incomparable beauty and isolation of Pasjača Beach make the beach is the perfect place for couples, since there no music bars and sports activities that can mean intense noise and movement.

The lack of structure can be a wonder to many, but for others, it can be a big problem.

Therefore, it is important to know that there you will not find music bars offering drinks, but this gem will offer you a quiet and idyllic beach.

Our tip is to arrive at the beach early to choose the best sun protected the place since most of the beach is exposed and no natural protection like trees.

It is also worth taking a sun umbrella and food to enjoy the beach with tranquility and quality

This sandy beach is in the region of Konavle, below the village Popovići which is 30 km from Dubrovnik and towards the border with Montenegro.

So if you are planning a trip to the Balkans, you can go to the beach on the way back to Montenegro and thus optimize your time.

We used the Waze app to get on Pasjača Beach and we can say that was the best option because the way is very deserted and you may struggle to find help from locals.

At the beach entrance there is a sign indicating it and also free parking for some cars and from there you should follow the trail followed a steep staircase that goes through a tunnel dug and takes you to paradise.

We do not indicate the bus visit the beach because the closest point is situated kilometers away and walk there in the hot sun will not be a good experience.
